TEXAS!!!!

Wow - what a trip! I had an epiphany on the plane ride home. I thought I missed Texas and all its grandness when in fact I really just miss the people in Texas. In fact, I don't miss Texas at all! The weather is awful! Dry, hot, windy and just not so grand anymore! Despite all that - we had a WONDERFUL time and enjoyed every single minute visiting family and friends.
Lane had so much fun. He rode a four wheeler with Grandpa, played with Great Grandpa and Grandma Clements, rode a horse with Pe-Paw and chased cats with Great Mam-maw! Our trip was far too short and we didn't get to see everyone but maybe we can catch you on our next trip.
We came home to wild, crazy and excellent news!! We are moving again!!! Justin was promoted to manage a larger facility located outside Terra Haute, Indiana. He left yesterday and Lane and I will join him shortly. They didn't give us any notice but we're getting used to packing and moving on a moments notice. However, this move will be permanent....at least until the next promotion! :) I am so proud of Justin and for all of his accomplishments! He is a wonderful husband and father. Lane and I are very lucky!!
I hope each and every one of you can come visit us soon! (Let us find a house first) Terra Haute is about an hour SW of Indianapolis.
Much Love ~ Nikki

Skate, skate...Look at me SKATE!

I can't believe I put a 13 month old in roller skates!!! It is amazing how much you relax as a mother after one year. I figured...he can walk, why not skate!! :)

We had a pajama/roller skate birthday party this weekend and had a blast!! Lane, of course, stole the show. When he wasn't in skates, he was running around the rink with the other kids. I truly believe Lane thinks he is just as big and just as capable as the older kids.

I was not brave enough (thank goodness) to actually skate while Lane was skating. Luckily, Justin walked around with him and I got to skate. I felt like I was back in school skating around the rink in Pampa. (Tiffany - does this ring any bells?)
Lane loved to chase the reflection from the disco balls. This kept him going for quite a while since the reflection changed with the beat of the music.
That's all for now! Hope everyone is happy and healthy - Miss you all!!!!
Hugs,
Nikki
