2008 review

I'm not into "New Year's resolutions" but I think I might resolve to blogging in 2009. Everyone is always thanking me for sending pictures but they want the story behind each picture. Even better, they want to know what is "new" this month. So I have decided to start blogging! (Yikes) I am vowing to update weekly (monthly) with a little story about Lane or the Monger clan and add a few pictures. This way, you can have the best of both worlds, the picture and the story.

After reviewing a years' worth of pictures, I have decided the first blog should be a dedication to 2008. What a year it was....

Lane entered our life at the end of 2007 so basically reality hit us by 2008. :) January and February were spent packing our house in Minnesota and moving to Delaware. Justin started his new job in Delaware around the end of Feb and we finally reached the east coast in March 2008. I fulfilled a dream I didn't know I had in April and became a stay at home mom. By May, Lane decided he needed to stay in the hospital for a few days. June, July and August were filled with days by the pool and trips to the beach! In the meantime, Lane learned to crawl and play with Raider. September brought in Grammy and Grandpa, Uncle Bryan, Aunt Meredith, cousin Anna, MiMi and Papa Doug!! October was a bit cool but perfect for picking pumpkins and enjoying a hay ride through the apple orchards. November came around with a BANG - Lane turned 1!! He took his first solo steps this month and never looked back. And we are right back around in December. Lane wasn't too fond of Santa at first but he came around and gave the long white beard a little tug! His birthday accomplished one thing, Lane loves to open presents. He decided to celebrate opening Christmas presents a day early and by himself.

Our family has been so blessed this year and we can't wait to see what 2009 will bring. We miss you all and hope everyone has a safe and happy New Year!! See you in 2009!!!!
