I have discovered Lane's passion! Well, maybe it is mine, but Lane inherited a love for it too. Today was our first day in gymnastics and can we say gold medal??
The gym has an excellent coach, which I will admit that I went in with a LOT of expectation b/c let's face it - no one can teach toddlers gymnastics better than me!! (wink wink) Her program was very familiar but so much more fun than we could have anticipated.
Lane was the youngest in his class but you would have never known it! He could do every station perfectly. He would crawl up a big block then jump down and do a front roll and then laugh very loudly. His favorite station was a big mat lumped over a tall heap of mats that you crawl up one side and slide down the other. Since Lane could walk up a slide before he could actually walk, I knew this station would be a breeze! He couldn't quite catch on to the donkey kick but he had the noise down just fine. :) The low bar gave him a little scare but look out high bar....we had to tickle him to let go!! The class ended with ten laps up and down the gym. Natalie was the oldest in the class and Lane was the youngest but they were the fastest!!!
He talked the whole way home and downed a bottle of water so I know this is one activity that he will keep up for a while.
